Netflix has finally added spatial audio support to its iPhone and iPad apps, making it easier for users to experience the company’s content in a more immersive way. Previously, users had to use third-party software to add spatial audio support to their devices. Spatial audio is a technology that allows users to hear sound in different directions based on where they are in the room. This can make for an more immersive experience when watching Netflix content, as well as other media types such as video games. Netflix has been working on spatial audio support for a while now, and it seems that the company is finally ready to bring it to all of its platforms. This addition will make it easier for users to find and watch Netflix content in a more realistic way, and it should help improve overall streaming experience for those using Apple devices.

What Does Spatial Audio on iPhone and iPad Do?
Spatial audio on Apple devices is quite a trip that you need to experience to really get it. It creates a surround sound experience that actually keeps the sound flowing from the correct location even as you turn your head.
That means that as you’re taking in the best movies Netflix has to offer, you’ll be fully immersed in a theater-like experience (spatial audio is especially cool for action movies).
According to Apple, “Spatial audio with dynamic head tracking brings theater-like sound that surrounds you from the movie or video you’re watching, so that it seems as if the sound is coming from all around you. The sound field stays mapped to the device, and the voice stays with the actor or action on screen.”
Experiencing that level of sound through Netflix, which contains all sorts of TV shows and movies to watch, is really exciting and yet another reason to consider picking up a pair of AirPods Pro or AirPods Max headphones.
