Microsoft is updating PowerToys for Windows 11, which includes new features and improvements. Some of the new features include: -A redesigned user interface that is more intuitive and organized. -New tools to help you manage your devices and settings. -Improved performance and stability. -Option to hide or show notifications on devices.

The new look and feel for PowerToys was discovered by a pull request from the PowerToys GitHub page.

Once the pull was completed, Niels Laute, a designer for PowerToys explained on Twitter that the new design will likely appear in one of the subsequent releases. That means you’ll have to wait a little while before you’ll see it in the Windows 11 Insider Preview.

Overall, it follows similar design sensibilities to the rest of Windows 11, which means it’ll fit right in with the rest of the operating system.

Additionally, the pull request said that “the new standardized controls can now be edited once and will trickle down to all pages.” The update also included many accessibility improvements that’ll make using PowerToys easier for everyone.

Again, this isn’t available just yet, but it should be coming to a Windows 11 shortly. If you absolutely can’t wait, you can run a branch now from GitHub, but you’re definitely better off waiting for a more stable version.
