Microsoft is reportedly working on a new Windows version called Windows 11 SE. Here’s why you should be excited about it. Windows 10 was released in July of 2016 and quickly became the most popular version of Windows. It has been praised for its user interface, performance, and features. However, there are some users who want to use older versions of Windows. Microsoft has responded by releasing a new version of Windows called Windows 10 S which is designed for schools and businesses that need to keep their devices secure. Windows 10 S is limited to only running apps from the Microsoft Store and cannot be upgraded to a newer version of Windows. Microsoft has now released a new version of Windows called Windows 10 Pro which is similar to Windows 10 S but can be upgraded to a newer version of Windows. However, many users find that Pro offers less security than S and is not as user friendly. Windows 11 SE is designed for users who want the best of both worlds: the features offered by Pro but the security and compatibility offered by S. It will be available as a free update for all current versions of Windows including Pro and S. The main difference between 11 SE and other versions of Windows is that it will run on both desktop computers and laptops. This means that it will be able to compete with Apple’s macOS which is currently the most popular operating system on laptops. The biggest benefit of 11 SE over other versions of windows is that it will allow users to run older versions of software without having to upgrade their computer or lose functionality due to software incompatibilities. This includes programs such as Adobe Photoshop which are not compatible with newer versions of windows. In addition, 11 SE will also offer features such as virtual desktops which allow multiple applications to be open at the same time without affecting performance or battery life ..

RELATED: What Is Windows 11 SE?

Windows 11 SE is expected to be like the Windows 10 S versions in that it won’t be an entirely different version of the operating system. Instead, it’ll be a scaled-back variant designed to work on more affordable hardware.

The Windows Central report says that the Surface device that would feature Windows SE comes with an 11.6-inch screen with a 1366 x 768 resolution. In addition, it is rumored to feature Intel’s N4120 Celeron processor and up to 8GB of RAM. These are relatively modest specs, but since the laptop is targeted at the education market, it makes sense for Microsoft to get the price down.

Unfortunately, the report from Windows Central doesn’t offer any details regarding when Windows 11 SE would launch or when the new Surface laptop featuring it would launch. For the time being, we’ll have to wait for Microsoft to announce something official, but this sounds like a smart move on the company’s part if it wants to take on Chromebooks in the affordable laptop space.
