Starting on October 1st, Hulu will start charging $7.99 a month for their standard subscription, and $11.99 a month for their premium subscription. This is an increase from the current prices of $6.99 and $10.99 respectively. Hulu has been trying to make money by increasing their prices for a while now, but this is the first time they have raised their prices since they started offering their service in 2007. They say that this increase is necessary because they are spending more money on licensing content and developing new features for their service. Some people are unhappy about this change because it means that they will have to spend more money on Hulu if they want to watch shows that are not available in the standard or premium subscription options. Others say that it is worth it to pay extra for a service that offers ad-free viewing and more exclusive content than what is available on other streaming services. ..

The price increase is scheduled to begin on October 8, 2021, so you’ll get to enjoy your current Hulu pricing for a bit longer.

The ad-supported tier currently costs $5.99, so it’ll go to $6.99 after the 8th. In addition, the ad-free Hulu plans will jump from $11.99 to $12.99. It doesn’t sound like much, but an extra $1 per month adds up with all of the streaming services out there.

Fortunately, Hulu with Live TV and the bundle with Disney+ and ESPN+ will keep their current prices, so subscribers to those plans will be able to keep enjoying their content without spending more money. Of course, that could change at some point, but at least the price remains unchanged for now.

Interestingly, the price for the Disney+ bundle is only a dollar more than the ad-free Hulu plan, which makes that a far more attractive deal since you get a lot of extra content for only a bit more (though you’ll have to deal with ads). The ad-free version of the bundle is $19.99, which is still only a few dollars more than ad-dree Hulu on its own.
